We have acquired a pet. His name is Velveeta and he's fluffy and brown. Oh, and did I mention? Velveeta is a squirrel. He lives in the roof and during the day he stakes watch while sitting on the sill of our left kitchen window. Velveeta is a friendly squirrel who has taken a liking to both Marcus and I as well as our Romaine lettuce plants. Marcus wants to support our new 'pet' by feeding him and so far the only thing stopping him is me. That's right. No, you may not support the rodent that is living in the eves of our roof. In other pet related news, I'm still working on warming him up to getting me either a puppy, kitty, another guinea and if all else fails a Nintendo Wii.
Today was a busy day. A road excursion to Wellsboro gifted Mur with the long awaited gun permit so that he can carry in PA as well as a visit to a body mechanic to get a quote and a check to have his car fixed from a deadly run in with a porcupine. That's right you read that correctly. A porcupine. The quills are still stuck on the under carriage of his car. Pretty awesome and unbelievable to see but not for Mur who wants the newness of his car to last longer than what it already has.
In other news, we stopped to say hello to Steve (Marcus's dad) today. Always nice to see and say hello to him. He's such a sweetie! Anyway, during our visit at his shop we got talking about the whole daughter situation. That was fun. Then I was told to 'settle down' because I was yelling at Mur. Well, get off your duff and take on your fatherly duties. The end.
Anyway, I gotta finish an application before we watch a movie.
So much wildlife in Elmira lol Tell Mur to stop hurting the rodents he dislikes. If he can treat a squirrel nicely, then he should show the same respect to the poor porcupine lol
