6am Coffee

There is a certain sense of clarity gained at 6 in the morning. The majority of the world is still sleeping or they starting to press the snooze button to gain that '5 more minutes' of sleep. I, however, am wide awake watching BBC World News for the latest updates on Osama and the supposed drop in price per barrel for crude oil. It is now, while sipping coffee out of my favorite red mugs, that I gain a sense of motivation and extreme self awareness. Why you may ask? Well to be honest with you I really don't know. Again, I believe it goes back to that sense of clarity that one can only reach at 6am. Everyone, for the most part, is sleeping. There is no incessant gabbering going on around you, no horns honking or the neighbors booming music. A sense of peace has been realized through this welcomed silence and feeling of calm. For this, I am grateful.

Now to the point.

This morning I have come up with a list of things I want to change and am going to start working on today. Some of these things I have already been doing, like looking for a job, but now I want to change my perspective by completing these tasks conscientiously and with a more positive attitude/outlook.

1. Send out at least 2 resumes a day.
2. Seriously look at grad schools.
3. Get certified as a nursing assistant.
4. Find a volunteer opportunity. (Planned Parenthood)
5. Put more of an effort in staying in contact with friends.
6. Only watch TV for the news.
7. Listen to more music.-Discover some new music.
8. Finish reading all the books I started. (Currently have 3)
9. Blog at least twice a week.
10. Maturing verbal communication. (Quit swearing)
11. Study religion and culture. (Through friends and reading)

Those are the biggest tasks at hand and there is no time like the present.

Cheerio for now chaps.

  1. I'm loving the list. You are constantly inspiring and pushing me to do and try new things. Even if you don't realize it, I thank you!
